San Fran January 7 to 9, 2011
CHH had a business trip in San Francisco for this weekend and the girls and I joined him for the long weekend. We had a blast. We love San Francisco. CHH booked us a hotel close to Pier 39 so we would be within walking distance while he was at his meetings.
Friday morning, the girls and I walked to the pier. We stopped in this candy shop where the girls had me purchase for them gold chocolate coins. They ate the whole bag of coins while we were walking around and I had to go back the next day and buy more. They loved them. Jordan saluting in the above picture :)

Almost to Pier 39.

Jordan and Katelyn at RIDE THE MOVIES! Turbo 4D attraction on Pier 39. We saw two movies, Sponge Bob, and Planet Earth. The girls loved the 3D effect with the ride.

Jordan got sleepy and sat in Katelyn's stroller promptly falling asleep.
CHH and I took the girls to Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop in Ghirardelli Square. Jordan is picking out her ice cream.

Unfortunately, Katelyn now passed out in the stroller and did not wake up. I tried!

We had to get a picture of this cupcake shop because of the girls' Aunt Kara.
Katelyn is awake now but did not realize we had been at the ice cream shop.
Back at the hotel, Jordan constantly would do gymnastics while we were walking down the hall. When we got to the room, we asked Jordan and Katelyn if they had a good day in San Francisco. Jordan told us that she had but tomorrow she wanted to stay in the hotel and enjoy the crafts and activities at the hotel. I told her this was a regular adult hotel not the Gaylord, Great Wolf Lodge, Disney or Hyatt Lost Pines (realizing we do tend to go to the kid friendly fun hotels); her reply "Adult hotels are boring" :) Lucky, lucky girl.
On Saturday, we went to Lombard Street, one of the crookedest streets in San Francisco. We had to walk up a few hills to get there! When we arrived at the bottom of Lombard Street, CHH walked up the steps beside the street to take the girls to the top and look down. In the above picture, you can barely see him holding them up in their red coats.
CHH walking the girls down Lombard Street. When cars would come down the street, he would just step aside. The girls thought it was so neat to walk down.

I love this picture of Jordan on the streets of San Francisco with Coit Tower in the background.

While walking around I saw this Trader Joe's and had to stop. My girls love, love, love the vitamins I had previously purchased from Trader Joe's when in California previously. I bought three bottles this time.
After Lombard Street and seeing the street cars, we headed back to Fisherman's Wharf and stopped in at the Boudin Bakery to watch the sourdough bread being made. My girls really enjoyed this. The worker inside was totally taken with them especially when the girls began blowing her kisses. She was making bread shaped like turtles. It was so cool.
