Katelyn's 1st Day in Creme Prep!
Katelyn moved up to the four year old class at her school even though she is still three. It is called Creme Prep and today was her first day. She was so excited!

Birthday Party Weekend
Jordan and Katelyn went to a wonderful birthday party this weekend at one of Jordan's classmate's grandparent's homes. It was an awesome place. The girls had a blast swimming in the pool with the most incredible view of the lake, going down a gigantic waterslide, riding pink ponies, and eating yummy birthday cake. They loved it!

Katelyn's Nose
So CHH was out of the country (in Tokyo, Japan) and I have the girls for 10 days. My Dad was a huge help during this time. My Dad was over for dinner and while I was standing there talking to him, I looked down to see Katelyn's nose start to drip blood. It took me a second to realize her nose was bleeding but by then it looked like a faucet turned on -- steady stream coming out. I freaked :) This is my baby. My Dad instantly grabbed her (being the doctor that he is) and layed her on the kitchen table. Jordie being her usual sweet self ran and grabbed a pillow for her sister's head. Dad had Katelyn lay down and he went into doctor mode taking care of her. I took pictures because I wanted CHH to know what was going on and happened.

Seattle, Washington Celebrating with Friends!
One of my high school friends and I went to Seattle for a long weekend to visit another one of our high school friends and celebrate her birthday. We had a blast! My friend and her husband own a vineyard/winery in Seattle. Below is my friend's husband showing us the vineyard.
My friend and her precious little girl. Her little girl is almost exactly Katelyn's age -- both born December 2006. I fell instantly in love with this brown-eyed, brown haired sweetie that reminded me so much of my Katelyn. The whole weekend I kept wishing Katelyn was with me because I would have loved to have seen the two of them together.

My two best friends from high school and me! It is amazing how we cannot talk for months or not see each other sometimes for years but when we get back together we instantly are comfortable once again. I have been friends with these ladies for over 30 years -- really met them in middle school.
While visiting, my friend and her husband took us to visit several different wineries in the area. I do not drink (I don't like the taste of alcohol) but I actually had a great time visiting the various wineries and learning something about wine. I think I even managed to like a sip or two of some of the wines!

Deciding what to try at another winery.
Celebrating my friend's 44th birthday!
On Saturday, we went to Pike's Market. I had always heard about this place. It was a fun, interesting place to visit.
While there, I of course had to stop by the Magic Shop all the while thinking of CHH. He is an amateur magician and loves shops like this.
Friends at Pike's Market!

For lunch we went to this Polish Bakery. My sister, Jill, had told me this was a must thing to do while there. It was absolutely incredible. So yummy!!
So while in Seattle, another one of our best friends from high school took a boat across the water and met us for drinks and dinner close to Pike's Market. I do not think I have seen this friend (J) since we graduated from high school in 1984!! It was so awesome to see her and like the other two we instantly fell back into our friendship we had formed so many years ago. J brought with her pictures from middle school and high school to show us. Pictures I have never seen before! It was so fun, great, hysterical to talk about those school years. Great memories.
Four best friends from high school together again.

While visiting, my friend's husband took the best care of us the whole entire weekend. We had the most fabulous home cooked meals that he spent so much time making for us. We felt like Queens. He took care of everything for us -- what great guy and we so appreciated it.
This dinner was so yummy! I took a picture on my phone and sent it to CHH to show him what I was eating at that moment!
My friend's home and the vineyards. So peaceful and relaxing.
We walked along the roads enjoying the day and the outdoors.
I took some pictures with my IPhone of the pictures my friend, J, brought to show us. I was a cheerleader and do not have one photo of me as a cheerleader. I loved seeing these. When I made cheerleader, my Mom was so mad at me for doing so. I remember the school announcing who made it and let us go to the office to call our parents. I remember the girls calling their parents so excited and when I called my Mom she got mad. It took me years to understand why -- it was because it was one more thing for her to carpool me all over around town to do. With cheerleading practices and actual games, this was a considerable amount of time for her. It's funny that is what I remember about cheerleading :) Nevertheless I loved seeing these photos. I'm in the middle to the left.
