Happy 6th Birthday Jordan!

Jordan's teacher asked us to write a letter to Jordan to be read to her on her birthday at school. I thought the letter that CHH wrote described today, Jordan's birthday, perfectly. Happy Birthday my sweet baby girl!! Where did the last six years go?! I love being your Mommy!!

Letter as written by Jordan's Daddy:

September 28th is such a special day for us. Six years ago today, we got to finally see you after waiting for many months for you to arrive. We have always viewed you as our gift from heaven.

You are so special to us in so many ways. We have taught you how to read and write (along with your teachers), how to dress, how to eat and many other daily tasks. But you have taught us many things, too. You have taught us how to value every single day because we cherish the time we spend with you. You have taught us how to share because we see what a sharing person you are with your friends. You have taught us compassion because we see how you take care of your baby sister, your dog and your cat. Finally, you have taught us a new kind of love because we could never love anyone more than we love you (and your baby sister).

We have watched you grow up from a very easy going baby to a beautiful young lady. We have watched your personality develop from a happy but at times stubborn infant to a very outgoing person with a positive-outlook on life that others seem to enjoy being around. You brighten our day from early morning when you get up until you retire for the evening. A day without you becomes an irrelevant day.

The past six years have gone so quickly. But they have been six wonderful years. And we know we have many more wonderful years to spend with you.

Happy 6th Birthday Jordie Bear! We love you! Mommy and Daddy (and Sissy too)

Jordie Bear on her birthday morning!

She's up and she is six years old!

Ready for school. She gets to wear a dress instead of her school uniform on her birthday.

My joy. The gorgeous brown eyes!

We have gone from holding up one hand to now holding up two! Six fingers for a six year old.

I also happened to be the Reader Mom on Jordan's birthday. What luck! She picked Little Otter's Big Journey for me to read to her class. It was so fun and great to be with her on her birthday morning.

CHH and I got to join Jordan for lunch on her birthday in the cafeteria. We were waiting on the steps when we saw her class approaching with Jordan in the lead.

Jordan picking out her lunch in the cafeteria line.

Jordan getting a hug from Ms. Nicki. Jordan loves Ms. Nicki and loves her constantly changing her hair color.

Eating lunch with Jordan on her birthday at school was nice. It was fun to see her classmates walk by and hear them tell her Happy Birthday.

This is Jordan's classmate who also turned 6 on September 28th. I have a picture of the girls last year holding up their FIVES.

After lunch, CHH and I walked outside and watch Jordan with her friends on the playground.

That night - birthday dinner with Uncle Marty and Aunt Jill.

Jordan specifically requested chocolate cake with chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and pink frosting - a barbie cake.

Potion bottles from Aunt Kara. Jordan and Katelyn love to make potions in the bathtub.

Katelyn gave Jordan this coloring house that she wanted from Hobby Lobby.

Aunt Jill and Uncle Marty gave Jordan Barbie make-up and a Barbie head to practice on. Jordan was thrilled.

Jordan had a fantastic birthday. Everyone loves her very much and made it very special for her.

My Baby's Last Day of being Five Years Old!!

Warp Speed -- the two words that describe the last 5 years. I never knew I could love someone so much (her sister too). I would do anything for her. I love you my 5 year old little girl!

Jordan's American Girl Birthday Party and Katelyn's Aunt Time

Aunt Kara came in town to spend time with her nieces and celebrate Jordan's upcoming birthday. The girls love to "cook" with their Aunt Kara. I came home to find them making purple frosting for their Halloween gingerbread houses.

Katelyn ADORES her Aunt Kara!!

Isn't she beautiful?!! I love those gorgeous chocolate brown eyes.

Jordan wanted an American Girl birthday party. Since she had her class skating party, I invited some of her close friends to a smaller American Girl birthday party. Above is Jordan walking into American Girl to attend her birthday party.
