January 27, 2011 Japanese School Presentation

The kindergartners at Jordan's school were learning about Japan. Jordan's teacher asked Jordan's Daddy to come speak on Japan since he is half Japanese and has spent a lot of time in Japan. Jordan was so proud and excited to have her Daddy come speak. Jordan is absolutely enthralled with Japan and everything about it.

When Jordan was born, we received the above kimono for her from friends in Japan. I remembered it and pulled it out for Jordan to try on and it was perfect. She wore it to school for her Daddy's presentation. Jordan later told me that when she arrived at school all her friends surrounded her to see her kimono. She looked so happy telling me about it.

Katelyn wanted a picture too :)

Jordan's teacher later sent me actual photos of CHH's presentation to the girls. CHH told me Jordan stood up front with him the whole time and added into the presentation at times. She was very excited to tell the class some of the Japanese words she knows. CHH says her pronunciation is fantastic.

Hello Kitty comes from Japan and so Jordan took her Hello Kitty also dressed in a Kimono to show the class.

Afterward the presentation, Jordan handed out to the grade gift bags with Japanese items in it. We purchased for each girl a "Happy Cat" tea pot, Hello Kitty chopsticks, and tissue with the Shinkansen (Japanese Bullet Train) on it.
