School Birthday Celebration

Jordan got to wear a special outfit to school today instead of her normal uniform. When you celebrate your birthday, you have a free dress day.

CHH and I went to her school for her birthday celebration. Here Jordan is with her class coming in from outside to go to her classroom.

Once in the classroom, Jordan got to wear this flowered wreath on her head. She was so happy.

For her birthday celebration, Ms. Dickmann, her teacher, would show a picture of Jordan for every year of her life. When she showed the picture, Jordan would take the Earth she held and would walk around the lit candle on the table - a full circle. This would represent one year of her life.

Everyone singing Happy Birthday to Jordan.

My sweet girl!

Jordan got to pick the snack for the class today. Yes, she picked her favorite cookies, Oreos.

Computer picture of Jordan displayed on the wall in the classroom during her birthday celebration.

Tuesday night, Jordan had a soccer game. Grandpa and I took Katelyn to McDonald's to do something special with her. We knew she would love the indoor playground. Katelyn eating dinner with her Grandpa.

Katelyn getting ready to go down the slide again.

Katelyn had a blast playing here. She would crawl through the tunnels, go down the slides, and run back and forth to our table to check on us.

Jordan's 5th Birthday - Great Day!

Jordan and her Grandpa the morning of her birthday!

Five years old!

Jordan looked in the mirror this morning and said "Mommy, I don't look any older!"

Jordan and her Grandpa on her birthday!

Grandpa took Jordan to Starbucks for a birthday breakfast hot chocolate and chocolate doughnut.

Having fun with Grandpa on her birthday!

Jordan told the workers at Starbucks it was her birthday. They gave her a hot chocolate for free and wrote "Happy Birthday" on her cup. She loved it.

Birthday morning, Jordan worked on one of her new crafts she received from a friend at her birthday party. She had a blast working on this. Mommy worked at the table while she put this craft together!

Jordan was so excited to meet her friends for lunch at American Girl for her birthday.

Jordan ran into a new classmate at American Girl. Her classmate's birthday was today as well and she turned five also. I love this picture of the girls showing their "fives".

Jordan with her Julie doll and chocolate milkshake.

Jordan with her friend picking out a new dress for her doll. She got this gold ice skater dress with the ice skates.

Jordan than got to pick out her birthday present. She wanted the new American Girl doll, Rebeca Rubin. Daddy showed up to get Jordan's birthday present after our lunch and to take Jordan home.

Birthday night! Uncle Marty showed up with flowers for Jordan! Her first flowers! She told her Uncle she wanted purple, pink and white flowers. He showed up with this gorgeous big bouquet for her. She was thrilled!

Jordan relaxing with her Grandpa before dinner.

Birthday dinner!

Jordan wanted hot dogs and white rice with soy sauce. Her American/Asian roots were evident in her dinner choices - ha!

Getting ready to blow out the candles on her Cold Stone Creamery Oreo cookie ice cream cake. Jordan's favorite cookie!

Sisters :)

Jordan loves her present from Aunt Kara.

More presents....

Jordan with her Aunt Jill. Aunt Jill was so good to Jordan as usual and bought her all her favorite things for her birthday -- books and crafts!! Jordan was so excited.

Laughing with Uncle Marty.

Jordan opening her gift from Aunt Shery, Uncle Bob and her cousins.

Jordan loved her gifts from the cousins -- an American Girl pink picnic table and picnic treats for her dolls. Jordan was so cute playing with her table later. I heard her singing "Happy Birthday" to Julie. I walked in her room and she had Rebeca and Julie sitting at the picnic table with a birthday cake and treats on the table. She had a blast playing with them.

It was a great birthday for Jordan!

Happy 5th Birthday Jordie Bear!

Happy 5th Birthday my sweet girl! I cannot believe you are already 5 years old today. What a fabulous 5 years it has been.

What can I say about you now that you are 5?! You are an intelligent, kind, beautiful, loving little girl. You are happy 99% of the time. You wake up happy in the mornings and always have a smile on your face.

What do you like to do? Well you are currently in swimming, gymnastics, ballet/tap/jazz, and soccer. You really love ballet. Right now you tell us you want to be a "Super Ballerina" when you grow up.

You love to color and you especially love to paint. You love to do crafts. You love to use beads to make things and you enjoy all different types of craft kits. Also, you enjoy putting jigsaw puzzles together and you continue to love to play games. A favorite game right now is still Princess Yahtzee. You love to watch all the Barbie movies but you also still enjoy Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins, Backyardigans, Ni Hao Kai-Lan, Olivia etc.

You really love books! You love to be read to and you love all types of stories. Your Daddy is reading many of the classics to you right now -- the illustrated versions. I am reading Halloween books to your sister and you right now. You love "The Candy Witch" and "The Witch Grows Up".

We went on some great trips this year and I think you have caught the travel bug. You keep asking us when is our next trip. You love to go to Disney as much as your parents do.

You also are very good to your baby sister, Katelyn. She loves you so much and you love her just as much in return. Mommy always tells you that you are sisters and to always love each other.

You also started a new school this year and you love it. You are so happy to go to school every day. I drop you off every morning and I love our conversations we have on the way to school. You are so entertaining :) While in the car on the way, we mostly listen to the CD for "Wicked". You love the songs and can sing many of them. Yes, you continue to love to sing and dance!

We love you Jordan! Happy 5th Birthday My Precious Daughter!!
