Eclipse! I love Edward and Jacob :)

Jill came over for dinner tonight and we decided to go see the new movie out today - Eclipse. CHH was great watching the girls and off we went. I had a wonderful time with my sister and we loved the movie! We have read all the books and loved them so it was only natural to go see this movie together. I cannot tell you how much fun I had! When we walked out, Jill bought a t-shirt for sale about Eclipse and the World Premiere. They didn't have my size :( Oh well - I get to admire hers!

Birthday Parties and Swimming Fun

Jordan's ballet picture from her other ballet class.

Jordan and Katelyn with their old, old, old dog. Ms. Oscar is almost 16 years old. She is the girls first dog. Ms. Oscar and I have been through a lot together -- law school, Oklahoma, Texas, masters program, law firm, change of jobs, marriage, children, moving, etc.

Katelyn and her forever friend, Siam.

First birthday party of the weekend was five classmates having their party together at WOGA. The girls had the best time. Jordan is excellent at the hula-hoop now!

In the pictures above, one can see on the girls' arms rubberbands - silly bands. These are the new hot item the kids have to have. The rubberbands are in different shapes like the shape of the US, Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, Shoes, Wands, Texas, etc. The kids love collecting them and trading with each other.

Sunday was spent in the pool at our friend's house. Fun, fun as always.

Jordan and her friend were working on this chalk trying to get a dinosaur out of the middle of it. They spent a chunk of time chipping away on the chalk block.

Another birthday party for Jordan and Katelyn's friends, Sarah and Alyssa - turned 6! We went to see Toy Story 3 -- it was cute.

Happy Father's Day 2010!

Friday, CHH and I attended Katelyn's camp performance for the end of this two week session. The camp put on a circus performance.

Our poor Jordie missed the show!! She was outside playing prior to the show and threw-up. The school nurse called me right when the performance was about to begin. She said Jordan was asleep on the couch in her office, she was fine, and to come pick her up after the performance was over.

I felt so bad for Jordan because she was so excited Friday morning for the show. I was very excited though that I got to stay and see Katelyn. We loved it! Katelyn was OUTSTANDING. Truly.

One point during the performance the 3 year olds sing a song about a green jelly bean making them sick. The piano began to play the song and before the kids began singing, everyone suddenly heard Katelyn shot out "Mommy, Jordan is sick"! She then went on to perform the song and was hysterical. She did all the hand motions and the expressions on her face were priceless.

Yes, Katelyn got the biggest laugh at the end of the song. All the kids were rubbing their stomachs and pretending to be sick. Katelyn took it farther, layed down on the stage, hung her tongue out of her mouth, and groaned. People all around us were laughing. She was a hoot!

Saturday, Jordan had her ballet rehearsal. Jordan felt fine on Friday when we picked her up at the nurse's office so we don't know if she got overheated on the playground or what. Anyhow she was able to attend her ballet rehearsal (yes, this is her other ballet class - she has two) and had a great time with her dear friend, Sarah.

Saturday, Jordan and many of her classmates attended her dear friend's birthday party.

I love this picture of Jordan laughing.

Jordan and Katelyn with Slappy and Monday at Slappy's Playhouse where the birthday party was held.

Face painting and balloon artists at the party. What a bonus!

Sunday, Happy Father's Day CHH!! For Father's Day, we attended Jordan's ballet recital. She did fabulous for both her ballet and jazz number. Jordan's favorite activity right now is dance and she is really, really good at it. In fact, she has stated three careers she wants in her lifetime and she is currently back to her first choice - she wants to be a super ballerina when she grows up. Choice 2 was a musketeer and Choice 3 was an actor in Phantom of the Opera :)

Our family on Father's Day after Jordan's awesome performance.

Happy Father's Day Sweetie!! We love you! PS Jordan made him the most wonderful book. We bought it at Michael's. She drew a picture on every page and then wrote about the picture below her drawing. It was the cutest darn thing and CHH was thrilled. It is something I guarantee he will always treasure. Katelyn gave her Daddy lots of kisses and hugs as her gift :)

Camp Performance Day - The Circus

Jordan and Katelyn all dressed in circus gear for their camp performance today. Jordan is a Ringmaster and Katelyn is a ringleader. Katelyn's class was told to dress like any circus animal so naturally Katelyn was thrilled to be an elephant - she loves elephants!

Dad's Doing Great!!

My family all on their computers and IPhone while waiting on news about Dad in the waiting room. I laughed at all the technology we brought along to keep us occupied while waiting. I kept checking work emails and worked some while waiting! Dad had a cardiac cat done and then a stent for 90 to 95% blockage in the main artery. Jordan and Katelyn - this is your medical history! My Dad is 72 years old and this is his first health issue ever.

Dad in his hospital room after having the stent put in. We did not realize he was going to have to stay the night so Dad and I did not come prepared. Nevertheless we made the most of it.

My sisters, brother-in-law and I kept him entertained throughout the afternoon -- he was not allowed to move his leg from where they went in his artery to place the stent in his heart. It was actually nice to be able to talk to my sisters and Dad all afternoon without having to run off to do something - I can't remember the last time we were able to do that.

I then spent the night at the hospital with my Dad. I later told CHH it has been a long time since I have stayed out all night and come home in the same clothes the next day! As stated, we weren't prepared to stay so I slept in my jeans and shirt. CHH stopped by with the girls to check up on Grandpa as well.

What was also great were all the emails, texts, and phone calls we received from people that cared about my Dad. Everyone was checking in on him. My Dad has 3 brothers and 1 sister along with their spouses who were all checking in on him as well. It made my heart happy to see and hear once again how loved my Dad is by his siblings. It really is neat how close the five of them are which I think is pretty unusual at times.

I saw my girls briefly Wednesday night when they stopped by to check on Grandpa. As a result, I picked them up at camp the next day because I missed seeing them so much. It was great to hug my two beautiful, precious girls!! I'm also so thankful my Dad came through with flying colors and is going to be ok. I'm so blessed.

A Wicked Weekend!

My girls wearing their camp t-shirts for camp on Friday.

Grandpa getting ready to drive them to camp. Thanks Dad!

Saturday, Jordan had her last t-ball game. Katelyn had fun playing while her sister was on the field.

Jordan getting ready to bat.

Katelyn with a sibling sitting on top of the ice chest enjoying snacks while their sisters played t-ball.

The Dads on the field coaching their daughters.

CHH and Jordie Bear.

Katelyn making friends with an older sibling. She loves older girls!

Look at her face and then look at my poor old decrepit dog!! I cannot take my eyes off of Katelyn for a minute - seriously!

Ms. Oscar Myer Wiener suffering through Katelyn and her stamps. Ms. Oscar probably will not be around much longer. She barely eats and is wetting all over herself. She has to stay on tile, in her doggy bed, or her crate. My problem is she is still perky! She follows me with those big brown eyes and I just cannot put her to sleep yet. CHH and I have now begun feeding her tuna from a can to get her to eat and she is even starting to turn her nose up at that. I have had Ms. Oscar since law school. My mother gave her to me as a Christmas present one year. She is 16 years old and has been a great dog. I'm going to be heartbroken when she goes.

Katelyn removing the stickers after Mommy got on to her for putting them on poor Ms. Oscar!

Sunday, Jordan and I met our friends at Spaghetti Warehouse and then went to see Wicked. Jordan and Sarah had a great time together at lunch.

Sarah and Jordan at Wicked.

Chris (Sarah's Mom), Sarah and Jordan waiting for the show to begin.

Jordan and I were so excited to see Wicked together. I printed the story from Wikipedia and read it to her. We then listened to the Wicked CD at least a month before the show so she was familiar with the songs as well.

Jordan loved the show!! She was so cute asking so many questions afterwards. She amazes me on how she would compare Wicked to the Wizard of Oz and try to figure out how they worked together. For example in Wicked Elphaba (AKA Wicked Witch of the West) falls in love with Fiero (the scarecrow) who she turns into the scarecrow to save his life. After the show, she asked me why Elphaba tries to burn the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz if she loves him! She's amazing.

After Wicked, we went to another friend's house for the "end of t-ball" celebration and swimming. Jordan is now swimming down to the bottom of the pool in the deep end and fetching things. She is quite the little swimmer now.

Success! She got it.

Katelyn and her best buddy enjoying dinner by the pool.

Trophies were handed out to the girls. Jordan is with her t-ball coach receiving hers.

Katelyn enjoying a Popsicle in the pool.

Katelyn is swimming now as well!! Her swim lessons have been great and she can now swim across the width of the pool on her own. She even jumped off the diving board a few times while I was in the deep end with her.

Katelyn's present from Wicked. She loved it! My sweet girl. I can't wait until she is old enough to take her as well.
