Mommy the Math Buddy - Happy Leap Year!

I got to work in Jordan's classroom as the Math Buddy on this day.  I saw this on the wall in the classroom.

While waiting for our math assignment to begin, I watch Jordan as her teacher taught the class something on the Smart Board.

I got to help the girls make "Fraction Pizzas".  Every girl made a pizza out of colored paper and then divided it up into 4 pieces.  They put toppings on these four pieces and then the teacher used their pizzas as examples to discuss fractions.  Jordan is drawing lines on her sauce to divide up her pizza.

Off to their next class.  My time as Math Buddy Mom was complete.

I found Jordan's artwork on the wall outside the classrooms.

Tully is almost 2 months now!  Visiting at Aunt Jill's house.

Jordan's Art Class at School

I volunteered at Jordan's school to help out in her art class one day.  Her class was making a chessboard and the pieces for a school auction.  Before going in, I noticed kids on the playground and saw Katelyn on the tire swing.  It was cute seeing her at play.  She loves the tire swing at school and the monkey bars.

Here are the pieces.  They are a Texas theme with cowboy hats, snakes, and cactus as some of the pieces.

While in the art room, Jordan showed me other art work she has been working on with regard to Egypt.  I loved her art work!!

Mardi Gras Dress for School

The school has Mardi Gras Day where the girls can wear a yellow, green, or purple shirt under their jumpers.  The girls were very excited to wear their purple t-shirts for Mardi Gras Day.

Weekend Visit with Pennsylvania Ally

The girls' friend from Pennsylvania came into town for a visit.  Here they are at the Galleria playing.

At one point during the game, I look up and see across the room this sight.  Typical Katelyn!

After the game on Saturday, we went to dinner with some good friends from Jordan and Katelyn's former school, Creme.  It was great to see everyone.
