On June 25, 2008, Alexa Aigner lost her battle with Neuroblastoma. Crys and Zack Aigner founded The Princess Alexa Foundation to celebrate the childhood spirit of seriously ill children through dress-up and play. The Foundation also gives honor to Alexa who never met a needle without dressing for the occasion. Alexa met her challenges decked out in Princess and Super Hero gear alike - thus, the Princess Alexa Foundation provides this imaginary escape to seriously ill children throughout DFW.

To date, The Princess Alexa Foundation sponsors dress-up closets at Children's Medical Center Dallas, The Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, and Baylor Our Children's House. Additionally, the Foundation sends dress-up deliveries to seriously ill children throughout the United States.

Jordan's Lower School Art Festival

This is Katelyn one night this past week. She had been put to bed and I caught her peering in CHH's media room watching TV without her Daddy's knowledge. She jumped when I took this picture and she had been caught!

At Katelyn's school this past week, they had a picnic outside for lunch. It must have had an impact on Katelyn because she set up various "picnics" in our hallway one night. She took forever doing so and was so organized about it. It was the cutest darn thing watching her.

Katelyn's school also had "crazy hat" day this past week. She loved wearing her elephant hat to school. Side note: When I look at this picture, one of my first thoughts is Katelyn has grown. She is getting so tall.

Saturday, Katelyn had ballet pictures taken. She was so excited and loved her outfit. I did too. My adorable girl!

Sunday morning after ice skating lessons, Jordan and her classmate had fun riding this horse next to the ice skating rink.

Jordan's school had a Lower School Art Festival on Sunday. Each girl got to display one piece of art. Jordan's is above her head; it is her sea aquarium. She went into great details again explaining her artwork.

Sunday afternoon after the Lower School Arts Festival, the girls and I went to Michael's to purchase some art supplies. They wanted to paint and paint they did. They had a blast.

Smoothie Run

One of the Moms (my friend) picked several of the girls up from school yesterday and took them on a smoothie run. My friend then emailed the other Moms a picture of the girls. So funny! My friend is such a character.

PreK Circus Drawing

At Jordan's school, every grade does some type of performance during the school year for family and friends. For Jordan's preK class, they are doing a circus performance that will combine their musical skills (singing) and athletic skills. The performance is in May. Jordan will be a tightrope walker for the performance. To say she is excited is an understatement. She gets to wear a pink and black costume with a tiara -- what could be more perfect for my girl!

Anyhow when I picked her up from school yesterday, she showed me the above picture she had drawn. It is the three preK sections on their stands for the performance with the ringmasters between the stands. Jordan and her two classmates are on the beam with Jordan in the pink/black costume. The other costumes for the tightrope walkers are black/yellow and blue/yellow. So cute.

She really is excited for the show. So am I! I'm in charge of photography :) I can't wait!

Weekend Fun!

Friday night, CHH and I went to a preK parent dinner at one of the preK parents' homes. It was so much fun and really nice to get to socialize with the other parents. Saturday night, we had some preK families over to our house for dinner. We have wanted to do this for awhile and finally got the chance. It was great visiting with the parents and the kids had a blast.

Sunday morning, Katelyn curled up in her chair with her blanket and watched Angelina Ballerina.

Sunday, the girls had their second ice skating lesson and had a great time again. Here Jordan is with three of her preK school friends.

Katelyn did fantastic!! Really. She skated back and forth on the ice. Amazing.

Jordan did really well also.

Later Sunday afternoon after ice skating, the girls attended a birthday party for one of Jordan's former classmates at the Frisco Dr. Pepper ballpark to watch the Rough Riders. It was a great party!

Katelyn's best buddy, Emmy, was also at the party with her brother.

Katelyn absolutely loved it. I'm not surprised. She got to watch a ball being thrown around and wear a baseball cap! She looks so cute in this picture.

Daddy and his girls leaving to go home. What a busy, busy weekend. We have so many fun activities on the weekends and are never home. Between my full time job and all the events/activities with our girls, I'm pretty limited on time these days. I'm struggling with getting home chores done but that's OK right now!

The best part of the weekend -- Grandpa is back in town!!! The girls were so excited to see their Grandpa and have him back. Welcome back Dad. We love you!

I Know a 3 Year Old Who Is In Big Trouble Tomorrow When She Wakes Up...
