Family Fun After Thanksgiving

Friday morning after Thanksgiving, we had Santa photos taken. Katelyn would not get near Santa for the photo with Jordan and her. Once she saw the cousins with Jordan and Santa, she approached and got on Santa's knee. I guess she thought it was safe because they were all there plus she is going to do what they are doing! At least we got the photo :)

Friday evening, we went and saw the new Disney movie, Bolt, at the Studio Movie Grill. Jordan's cousin, Zack, especially loves going here so we try to do so every time they visit. The movie was really good and everyone enjoyed it.

Aunt Kara, Zack, Jordan, and Kim (Kara's good friend since lower school!) after the movie.

Saturday morning, we went to the King Tut exhibit at the Dallas Museum of Art. It was quite good. CHH and I read to Jordan several times the Step-Into-Reading book called "Tut's Mummy: Lost and Found" before going. We thought this helped her understand the exhibit a little bit better. Jordan enjoyed a lot of it but was bored at some points. Our nephew, Zack, on the other hand really loved it. Jordan loved the movie on Mummies that we saw afterwards at the museum.
The cousins! Jordan loves these boys.

After the King Tut exhibit, we went for lunch at the Spaghetti Warehouse in downtown. Zack loves dinosaurs so was excited to get his picture next to this Texan dinosaur.

Sunday evening, four Moms and four beautiful little girls went to the Dallas Children's Theater to see Madeline's Christmas and to attend the after party.

Ali and Jordan during intermission. Jordan thought it was so funny in the play when Madeline says to the Tiger at the zoo, "poo-poo". She kept laughing and at intermission was pretending to be Madeline and talking to the tiger at the zoo. I had to tell her we don't go around saying "poo-poo" to people! :)
This picture is on my blog because I print it for my girls and I laugh when Jordan does this. Jordan recently got the new Disney Tinkerbell movie and there is a part in it where Tinkerbell imitates a face on the coin. This is Jordan doing the Tinkerbell impression. The first time she did it we laughed and laughed. She still cracks me up when she does it. I guess you have to be there! Side note: Jordan is wearing her Madeline dress!

Jordan meeting Madeline and getting her autograph. She was very excited to do so.

The girls talking to Madeline and getting autographs.

The friends with Madeline. The show was very well done and the girls really enjoyed it as did I.

Jordan at the Madeline after party. The party had singers singing in French, a coloring table with Madeline coloring pages, a make your own candy cane table, food from Purple Cow and cookies and cupcakes. We sat on blankets that were our "magic carpets" and the girls got magic wands. One of the best parts for me (besides just being with my daughter) was the picture they took of Jordan with the Madeline background. Too cute.
