Christmas 2008

The cousins on Christmas morning. Zack and Jake came to get Jordan and Katelyn to go see if Santa came.
Walking into the sitting room to find that Santa indeed did arrive. I love seeing this picture with Katelyn poking her head around in the back.

Jordan realizing she received the American Girl Julie doll and bed from Santa.

Katelyn and Aunt Kara with Katelyn's gift from Santa - the American Girl Itty Bitty Twins. CHH keeps saying one's name is Itty and the other's name is Bitty. The other names thrown out by my Dad were Kim and Hanna. We will see what Katelyn ultimately picks.

Jordan with her Julie doll in matching pajamas. Julie has blond hair and brown eyes like my Jordan.

Uncle Bob and Jake with Jake's new Batman batcave from Santa.

Our girls with their dolls -- all of them in matching pajamas!

Katelyn walking her new babies in their twin's stroller.

My sweetie and me relaxing Christmas morning.

Aunt Jill and Aunt Kara relaxing Christmas morning.

Grandma Cruella, Aunt Connie, Aunt Kara, and Katelyn

Uncle Marty and Aunt Jill

Uncle Bob and Zack getting ready to unwrap gifts. I think Katelyn is already attempting to do so.

Jordan and Katelyn unwrapping gifts on Christmas morning.

Jordan is so funny. She did this same thing at Easter. When she gets a book, everything stops. She will stop and "read" through the whole book. She did this with this book she unwrapped before unwrapping any other gifts. She loves books.

Aunt Shery helping her boys, Zack and Jake, unwrap gifts.

Jordan is all excited at receiving Disney Princess paints. She loves to paint and color.

Katelyn unwrapping her kabillion dollar Elmo Live that Aunt Jill convinced me to buy for Katelyn. Katelyn loved it! Of course, I left Lubbock and forgot the kabillion dollar Elmo!! I got it mixed up with an older Elmo my sister, Shery, brought out to show me - the Hokey Pokey Elmo. It took me several tries at home squeezing the Hockey Pokey Elmo's nose and foot (where nothing happened) before I realized I took the WRONG ELMO!!! Side note: I love the Lubbock Wine box in the background - ha!

Aunt Jill helping Katelyn with her new Elmo Live. It really was cute. I guess she will now get it at Easter when the cousins come to visit. I'm sure Katelyn will be thrilled then to see him again -- almost like receiving a present all over again :)

Katelyn and Jake playing with Katelyn's new Itty Bitty kitchen from Aunt Shery, Uncle Bob, and Zack and Jake. She loved it.

Christmas afternoon, Jordan and Jake made gingerbread houses. They did this last year and wanted to do it again this year. Both of them had so much fun decorating their houses. They did a great job making them.

In the meantime, Aunt Kara disappeared with her attachment - Katelyn- and came back down with these kerchiefs on their heads. Katelyn looked adorable.

Aunt Shery was making a Christmas cake and let Katelyn lick the batter. Katelyn loved it.

Jordan received from Aunt Jill and Uncle Marty the new Barbie Princess Alexa and the matching Barbie outfit. Jordan was so excited to put it on and play dress up. This time she called herself Queen Miana (I have no idea where she got that name). One name that she calls herself pretty often when she dresses up is Cinderella Borealis Malice Palace. It cracks me up when she says that is who she is.

My precious baby girl!

This is my husband a good part of the day - WII man. My nephew, Zack, received this WII game that my husband had to try. It was funny the next day because my husband was sore from playing WII along with Marty, Jill and Kara.

To top off Christmas day, Jordan and Jake kept running back and forth to the kitchen dressed up in different costumes. They were so funny. They were laughing and being so silly every time they came back in something new.
It was a lovely Christmas. The most important thing is I think the kids had a great time. I treasure these Christmas days because I know they go fast.
