Chuck E. Cheese and Painting - Took Monday Off

I took today off after the Christmas holiday to spend time with my kids. I wanted some one of one time with the girls to do something fun. I had planned to take Katelyn to Chuck E Cheese on her birthday but that did not work out because of a huge project at work. Today was my day to make up for it. I took both girls to Michaels first for Jordan to get an art project to do for Valentine's Day. We found a neat little foam house for her to put together later. We then went to Chuck E Cheese.

Thank you Aunt Barbara and Uncle Mark for the gift certificate! Katelyn loved using it today and it was so appreciated.
After playing on a few rides, the girls took a break to eat their cheese pizza and drink out of their special Chuck E Cheese mouse cups. Katelyn thought her cup was so neat. She kept hugging it.

The girls riding the fire engine ride. Jordan is annoyed at me for taking pictures I think.

Katelyn just now knows who Barney is. We were fairly strict on not allowing Katelyn to watch any TV until she turned two. We followed this perfectly with Jordan. It was a little more difficult with Jordan being older and Katelyn being around Jordan; however, we limit Jordan and frankly Katelyn wasn't interested which was perfect. Anyhow Jordan's friend, Ali, gave us tons of her old DVDs which we so appreciate. A couple of them were Barney. We put Barney in the DVD player on our car ride to Lubbock and Katelyn fell in love with Barney. She wants "Barney's Sing Along" and "Elmo's Christmas" now to watch. I'm going to have to sneak the Elmo one away.

Jordan with the Chuck E Cheese mouse on the ride.

Jordan is a climber and loves to get on everything. She is into balancing up high. I laughed when I saw her sitting on top of the mouse's head at Chuck E Cheese. I was a climber and jumper too. I had three broken arms and one broken ankle growing up. I hope my girls do not break anything because it really does hurt. I keep thinking one of them will though because of their activities and me always having to get them down off of something.

Katelyn in the play area at Chuck E Cheese today.

I think Katelyn looks so cute sitting here in this picture. I love those little feet.

The sisters playing together.

Katelyn was absolutely worn out. We came home and, she went down for a nap. Jordan wanted to paint and has been painting for an hour now. She loves it.

My baby sweetheart with her picture. She has a dab of paint on her check. She said she is making this picture as a surprise and I couldn't look at it. She just now yelled at me for the sticky tape. I'm sure she wants to tape it to our fridge. New artwork - yeah!

Well I'm off to pick up some Christmas stuff and unpack some more. I have yet to check any email from my three different sources (work, AOL and Facebook). I'm dreading it. I have not been online in a week and I know the emails have piled up. I know if I get online I will get into answering all the emails because I get focused on it. I don't want to waste my time on the computer anymore though than I have done today because I want to go be with Jordan and Katelyn. As a full time working Mom, my time with my girls is very precious since it is so limited. It takes a lot for me to commit to something now and days because I want to spend any free time with my family. I guess as an older Mom I realize it goes so fast and I almost missed it. I know someday I will be able to finish a book or watch a TV show again but I also know I will miss being with my girls. I'm going to enjoy them now and read that book later! Yes, I'm still waiting to read the fourth book in the Vampire Chronicles and I'm anxious to do so. Perhaps New Year's weekend if we are relaxing at home. Then again I may be playing Jordan's new Disney Princess Yahtzee!
