What Day Is It?

Jordan received this Disney Princess desk for her birthday and the pajamas. She loves the desk and sits at it every free moment coloring. As a result though, Katelyn wants to sit at the desk as well and color. As everyone knows, Katelyn does everything her sister does. Well, we had bought the same desk for Katelyn to give to her for her birthday in December. We bought it now in case it would be gone by then. Because of Katelyn getting upset and wanting to color as well, CHH and Aunt Jill both voted for Katelyn to receive her desk now. Aunt Jill pointed out that Jordan got a lot of wonderful gifts from family and friends and Katelyn does not understand why she did not get anything. Good argument Aunt Jill! Because we want Katelyn to be happy and feel as loved as her sister, we decided to give her the desk now.
Here is Daddy bringing out the box to open the Disney Princess desk.
Katelyn helped Daddy to put her new desk together. Aunt Jill put Jordan's together but was nowhere around for this one!
Katelyn, please as punch, sitting and coloring at her new desk.
The sisters coloring!
I got a picture of them sharing!! Good sisters! Girls -- love each other always!

CHH and I always identify the days of the week by a certain occurrence for Jordan. On Wednesday, we tell Jordan it is ballet/dance day which she absolutely loves. Wednesdays are also (usually) dinner with Aunt Jill day. Thursdays are "Show and Tell" at school, Purple Cow for dinner with her friends, and then Little Gym. Fridays are pretty dress day at school (she wears uniforms during the week). Saturday is doughnut day and Sunday is breakfast with Aunt Julie day.

Yesterday (Monday), Jordan woke up when I was leaving for work. As she was hugging me good-bye for the day, she asked me what day it was. I told her it was Monday. She then asked me if Monday was pretty dress day, doughnut day or breakfast with Aunt Julie day. I told her "no" and Monday is just Monday. It is a school day. She looked so sad. I tried to make up for it by saying Mondays are great days because her baby sister was born on Mondays. I then told her Tuesdays were great days as well because she was born on a Tuesday. It didn't fly. I could still see the disappointment in her face.

I'm going to have to come up with something good for Mondays and Tuesdays!
