Nice October Weekend

CHH called me Friday morning after dropping the girls off at school. He told me Jordan was so excited and loved the outfit she was wearing to school that day. When I picked her up from school and we were walking out, she suddenly said "Mommy I just love this outfit". It made me smile. Too cute.
Friday night, we dressed the girls in their costumes to go to a Little Gym Halloween Party. Jordan is a purple fairy princess and Katelyn is a kitty cat. I think they are so cute in this picture.
My girls!!

After doughnuts on Saturday, CHH and I drove up to Allen with the girls to an opening for a new Toys R Us. I took my camera because I knew there may be characters there. We walked in and there was Barbie (Liana) from the new movie "Barbie and the Diamond Castle". I love this picture of both girls using their hands to talk to Liana.
Liana was really sweet to the girls.
It was funny because after seeing Barbie "Liana" we saw Spiderman. Jordan was so excited to go see him. I guess with going to her friend Jackson's Spiderman birthday party a couple of weeks ago and her cousin, Jake, loving Spiderman she knows who he is. She was actually very excited to meet him and get her picture taken.
Later on Saturday afternoon, Jordan attended a Little Mermaid swimming party. She had a blast! Jordan is hitting the pinata in this picture.

Jordan loves to swim with her face under the water.
Jordan with some of her friends in the big pool. She had the best time and would not get out of the pool. She swam almost the whole time while there. Needless to say she was really tired later that night!

Sunday I took my Dad to the airport and did a few errands. I went to Bed, Bath & Beyond and there was a Michaels next door. I have been promising Jordan forever to put flowers in the flower box on her play house. I went into the Michaels and got the Styrofoam I have been needing to hold the flowers. I was driving home and thinking about all the things I need to get done in the afternoon -- there never is enough time. I also was thinking about what Jordan said when I left. She asked if she could play dress-up when I got back and play outdoors in her playhouse. I was driving home and thought -- I want to spend time with my girls and have fun with them. Forget the "chores". I did just that. I got home and we spent the rest of the afternoon outside. The girls love to go outside and play. Both Jordan and Katelyn were so happy and I had a wonderful time being with them. CHH painted the fence while we were out there. The picture above is Jordan pretending to be Cinderella and clean her playhouse. She was singing "clean, clean, clean" while she was rubbing everything with her gloves.
This is Katelyn in the playhouse playing with their kitchen. Notice the Fall flowers we "planted" in the flower box!
OK...I bought these Koolaid burst drinks for the girls to have outside. Never again for awhile! Katelyn was a mess. She loved them. Here she is with Jordan's and hers. She really was one big sticky mess.
My sweet girl drinking her drink.
The girls love to play with bubbles.
Immediately after being outside, the girls went straight to the bathtub. Katelyn went crying and screaming. She was crying really hard and kept saying over and over "outside"! She loves being out there. She finally stopped when I stuck her in the tub with Jordan. After the bath, the girls both got in their couch beds. They love for me to put a pillow behind their heads and then cover them with a blanket. CHH made dinner and the girls ate in their pj's. Jordan told her Daddy it was silly to be eating dinner after taking a bath! She is too use to our routine of dinner than bath. We thought it was funny. I love my family and loved being with them this weekend. It was nice to see Dad and Aunt Jill as well. Thanks Dad for babysitting Katelyn last Friday while we were at work!! Thanks Aunt Jill for helping out as well!
