I cannot believe my baby is three!!! Where did the time go? Look how cute she is! To my Katelyn:
First and foremost, I love you to infinity and beyond. You light up my life and keep me going every day. On this day, I always think about the day you were born but also the day we found out we were going to have you. I still remember and feel the excitement of those days -- some of the best ones of my life. We love you so much and are so thankful and blessed to have you in our lives. I, personally, am thankful your sister and you have each other. Jordie Bear loves you so much as well.
At 3 years old, you are full of mischief and into everything. While you are destroying something or messing something up, you will look up, grin and display the most gorgeous smile ever that even lights up your eyes. You make us laugh while we are groaning about having to clean up yet another mess!
You make us laugh. Jordan, your Daddy and I are constantly laughing at something you have said or done. You are silly. You will pull on your ears, stick out your tongue and make a funny face.
You love your sister. You want to do everything your sister is doing and sometimes do not realize that she is 2 years older than you. What Jordan does, you think you can do as well. You love to play dress up with her, wrestle with her, color with her, or just sit by her watching the Backyardigans on TV. Your favorite thing to do is to wake her up in the mornings despite me telling you to let your sister sleep.
You love, love, love animals. We constantly find you around the house laying on your cat. You try to carry him even though he is pretty big and looks "pained" as you are lugging him around. You love your old dog, Ms. Oscar. Oscar is frail and doesn't like to be patted so much but you nevertheless always seek her out and pet her anyhow.
At 3 years old, you love books and love to be read to. You will sit for quite awhile looking through books. You still do not watch that much TV. You do not like to sit still to do so which is fine with us. You are very active and very good at athletics. Your favorite toy is still a ball. You love to throw them, kick them and toss them. You love gymnastics and we constantly find you standing on your head propped against the couch. Scares Mommy! I don't want you to hurt your neck.
You crack us up because you are not afraid of bugs. Your sister will run from the room screaming and you will go remove the bug. You also love animals with teeth. Your favorite animals right now are alligators and sharks. You love anything with big teeth. My response is perhaps you like teeth so much that you will be a dentist when you grow up!
In the end, Happy 3rd Birthday my sweet baby girl!! We love you so very much!!!!
Katelyn went to school on her birthday and celebrated with her friends.
I took birthday cupcakes and at snack time she got to hand them out to her friends.
On her birthday night, Aunt Jill and Uncle Marty came over to celebrate. I decorated the table with Snow White plates, decorations, etc. Katelyn's Daddy asked her what she wanted for her birthday dinner and she said hot dogs and plain spaghetti noodles which he of course made for her.

The birthday girl with her cake and family. Katelyn's favorite candy currently is peanut butter cups. I got her an ice cream cake with chocolate ice cream mixed with peanut butter cups. She loved it!

Katelyn got a mermaid Barbie from her Aunt Kara. She loved it! It went straight to the bathtub that night to play with.
Aunt Jill and Uncle Marty gave Katelyn the Snow White Barbie and the dwarfs. This one of Katelyn's favorite stories right now.
Aunt Shery, Uncle Bob, Zack and Jake sent her this wonderful computer item and games. How fun!
The funny thing is the most fun Katelyn had that night was playing with the box her Zhu Zhu pets arrived in. She laughed and had so much fun playing and hiding in this box!
