San Diego - What fun!

We flew to San Diego Wednesday night (January 7th) after work. CHH was attending a legal conference. Thursday, we walked along the water front by our hotel. We stayed at the Manchester Grand Hyatt next to Seaport Village. It was a great hotel and an excellent location. The girls loved looking out towards the water.

I loved seeing the US Navy ship going by us. Those ships are incredible to see and of course, I have the up most respect and gratitude for the people that serve on these ships. My Uncle Dale lives in San Diego. He joined the Navy when he was 17 years old and went to San Diego from Colorado. He picked a great place to live that's for sure.

At Seaport Village, there was the neatest old hand carved carousal. The girls saw it and of course had to ride it - twice!

We walked around Seaport Village and looked at the shops. CHH gave the girls pennies to throw in this foundation and they thought that was the neatest.

I love this picture of Jordan. She is always dancing wherever we are at. She is in her own world here -- dancing away while waiting for her Daddy.

Also while waiting for Daddy, we stopped by Ben & Jerry's. Both girls had to have chocolate and were a mess by the time they finished :)

Friday, we went to the San Diego Zoo. What a beautiful zoo!

Katelyn in front of the black bear exhibit. Katelyn kept making a growling noise like a bear. It was cute.

Mommy and her girls next to the monkey enclosure.

What I wanted the girls to see - the pandas! They were really cute but slept the whole time. Typical! The girls loved them though.

Jordan and Katelyn with their panda bears they got from the panda shop at the zoo. They loved this Koala character they got their picture with.

The girls having fun on the huge turtle at the zoo.

Both girls loved the Children's Zoo at the San Diego Zoo. Jordan said this bunny was so soft when she pet him.

Katelyn chased the various goats down and had a blast petting them. Katelyn loves animals so much.

Saturday, we went to Sea World. Our girls have never been even though we have one in Texas. We loved it! We started the day out with breakfast with Elmo and his friends. Katelyn loves loves loves Elmo right now (and Barney). We scheduled this breakfast because we thought she would be thrilled when she saw Elmo and we were right. She squealed when she saw him!

The girls with Zoe from Sesame Street.

Our family with Grover. Grover was a hoot. He loved Jordan! He sat there forever with her while she talked to him and they kept hugging each other. It was cute. She kept telling him she was going to color him a picture. He would then place his hands over his heart and act so excited. He was great.

The girls dancing with Grover and Cookie Monster. Katelyn loves to dance as well and is so cute doing so.

Jordan and Katelyn with Cookie Monster, Grover and Abbey.

After breakfast, off to see the park. Jordan loved viewing the dolphins.

We then went to the Shamu show which I really enjoyed. The killer whales are amazing and so beautiful.

The girls watching the Shamu show.

Shamu! I love him and the other killer whales.

Jordan petting a bat ray. She said he was soft and slippery.

Katelyn and her Daddy looking at the penguins. We loved the various animal exhibits at Sea World.

End of the day, we enjoyed the various rides in the kids area.

While waiting for this Elmo ride, Katelyn kept holding her nose and going "oink oink". She would then say "piggy" and point to this ride. I was so glad that we were able to get on the piggy Elmo for this ride or I think she would have had a melt down. She knew that was what she wanted. We had a wonderful day at SeaWorld and San Diego was so nice.
