When Katelyn turned two, she could start taking ballet and tap at school like Jordan. I immediately enrolled her because she loves to dance around like her sister. This weekend we took Katelyn to get her first pair of ballet shoes and tap shoes. They put little stockings on her and measured her feet - size 6 1/2.

Here she is trying on the ballet shoes. She was so cute. I could tell she thought she was "it" by getting new shoes.

They had her stand up to make sure they fit.

Now for the tap shoes...

Standing up to see how these fit.

Ta-Da!! Katelyn in her new tap shoes. She loves them.

While at the store, Jordan saw this light blue leotard with different colored striped ribbons in the skirt. She convinced her Daddy to let her try in on. Jordan loves rainbows so I wasn't surprised when she saw this and loved it. She tried it on and is showing it to her Daddy.

After shopping for shoes, we went through the drive-thru at McDonald's and all got chocolate shakes. The girls loved it. The day was absolutely gorgeous so I told CHH I was going to walk up to our park with them. Can you believe it is January and it is over 80 degrees outside?!! I loaded them up in their little red wagon and pulled them up to the park. They really enjoy riding in their wagon.

After awhile at our park, we went home and got the car. There is a park by my Dad's house that is really neat as well. The girls wanted to swing and my Dad's park had swings so I drove them over there.

Do you see it? Our third park/playground. The second park we were at is next to an elementary school. The girls saw the playground at the elementary school and wanted to go down the BIG slides. They took off running towards the playground.

Jordan climbing the ladder. She then had me hold her around the knees so she could reach the bars over head and pull herself around. She did this several times with me supporting her around the knees.

Katelyn got rid of her shoes and climbed all over.

Yes, she did this many times by herself. I told her she is my little monkey. She would let me get close enough in case she fell but would not let me touch her while she climbed.
We were gone for over two hours. This gave CHH time to grade more finals so that was nice for him. When we got home, we ate and I gave the girls a bath. Right after that, I put Katelyn to bed (early). She never let out a peep. She was exhausted.
It was a beautiful day with my family.
