Today my dear husband had gum surgery. He did very well. Life is so busy right now raising two little girls who need a lot of attention and also working full time outside of the house. Today was time to concentrate on my hubby which I do not get to do as often right now.
I took him to his appointment this morning and I was so nervous for him. I did not tell him that though because I did not want to worry him. As stated he did really well. Me being the sentimental one though -- it took everything inside me not to get upset when they took me back to see him after the surgery. He was pretty out of it. It is really hard to see a loved one not at their tip top shape as one is use to.
Anyhow I have him home now and have given him his pain pills and Advil; he is resting. I'm relieved it is over and everything turned out fine. He will get some peace in the house tonight because it is our usual night for dinner and gymnastics with Jordan's friends.
Since I'm mentioning my hubby today, I have to brag on him as well or at least grin. Every semester, students write reviews on him. He is a fantastic professor and has won many teaching awards. He was telling me last night what some of the students wrote on his reviews. Two cracked me up. One student wrote that she had an academic crush on him -- I understand! My husband is what I would call a genius. He is one of those people that you call scary smart. I love it. Jordan and Katelyn seem to be following in his footsteps.
The second one(s) that cracked me up -- he said several students wrote (they obviously had talked as a group) that his only weakness was kryptonite. Basically he is Superman. Once again, I'm not surprised at what they wrote but it is nice to hear and it did make me grin.
