Hyatt Lost Pines - Five Days of Fun!!

Our family headed out of town to Hyatt Lost Pines for the Memorial Weekend.

Jordan on the grounds at the resort.

First night there, we went into the town of Bastrop for some delicious BBQ. This hole in the wall joint had the best BBQ ever.

While at the resort, every day, all day, was spent out by the pool. Jordan was so cute relaxing here.

Jordan and Katelyn had the best time swimming.

Mommy and her girls!

Every night, the resort provided the ingredients and fire pits to make s'mores. This is something my girls remember distinctly from our last trip here. Good family memories. On this first night, Jordan ate four s'mores!!

Katelyn really enjoyed roasting the marshmallows and eating the s'mores!

Every day the first thing we would do when we arrived at the pool was to head to the lazy river. We had the best time as a family floating around the lazy river just talking. Both girls would intermittently get off the tubes and swim the lazy river while CHH and I floated along.

Both girls enjoyed the water slide at the resort every day as well.

So darn cute! Katelyn relaxing by the pool.

The girls had fun running through the water.

The girls enjoyed the train ride at the resort as well.

An added bonus was the face painting - my girls absolutely love face painting.

Every visit to the Hyatt Lost Pines resort, the girls have got to sit on this horse in the lobby. It is so funny because they think this is the coolest thing to do.

The resort also had a jump house in their ballroom for the weekend - oh what fun!

My girls loved to go to the ice cream/candy/gift shop every day. Katelyn would pull out the stool they had under the ice cream counter, climb up, and decide what ice cream she wanted. Very smart of the resort to have the stool there.

Katelyn getting her rainbow sherbet ice cream - her pick for this day.

While at the resort, Aunt Kara came to visit the girls from Austin every day. The first night, she brought my Mom's new dog, Cha Cha, to meet the girls. What a sweet sheltie!

Every night, the resort has movies out on the lawn for the families. We saw the Chipmunks, Little Rascals, Shrek, etc. The first movie night Aunt Kara and Cha Cha joined us for the movie. Katelyn's favorite thing to do is to run back and forth to the popcorn/water stand to get more stuff during the movie.

Our family relaxing by the pool after swimming all morning.

The resort is home to Texas Longhorns - awesome animals! Katelyn and Jordan are with Rib-eye in this picture!

Atop the other Texas Longhorn - T-Bone!

Back on the horse in the lobby!

The girls loved rocking in the rocking chairs.

I love this picture of Jordan!

The sisters relaxing on the grass close to the pool.

Popsicles out by the pool are the best!

Two nights we ordered the most delicious pizza from the resort's restaurant and had a picnic on the bed. The girls love to do this. We put towels on the bed and set it up for them to eat and watch a show.

Daddy and Jordan waiting for a movie on the lawn.

The resort also provided wagon rides which were so much fun.

The girls loved Julius and Caesar, the horses.

Another day of face painting!

After face painting, it was off to the ice cream shop to purchase the biggest cupcakes ever. The girls had seen them when they were getting ice cream and I promised them they could get the cupcakes today. Talk about excited. They loved them.

We love this lady. She was at the resort last 4th of July and the girls were so excited to see her again this visit. She's a hoot and so very nice.

By the end of the trip, Katelyn was swimming a lot on her own without her life vest. She did so well.

Jordan loved playing on the beach every day.

Jordan and I are on the Hyatt beach next to the sand castle she made. It was a wonderful sand castle!

Although it was hot outside, the girls still loved getting in the hot tub at some point during the day. Go figure! :)

On this day, the resort had a balloon artist!

On the property, they have the coolest old stage coaches. I discoverd in the back of one of them these cooking supplies and had to show Jordan. She loves to cook and thought these were so cool -- old but cool.

Every time we visit we bring the girls' scooters. Here Jordan is riding hers through the hotel lobby.

My girls in some of their Memorial Day wear :)

I made a comment to CHH while at the resort that this was truly what America is all about -- families out on the lawn enjoying each others company while the kids played together. Jordan and Katelyn had the best time meeting other kids at the resort and playing with them nightly before the movie, after s'mores :)

Katelyn sitting on her Daddy's back while watching the movie.

The girls enjoying the coloring pages while waiting to go into the restaurant to eat.

One last visit again with T-Bone before leaving! We had the best, most relaxing, family vacation. I made a comment to CHH about how it was about the kids the whole long weekend and us having fun with them. The funny thing is the resort has an awesome golf course but we don't play golf - ha! We love this place!
