During the school year, Moms were invited to their daughter's classrooms to read a story for the class. I had the privilege of doing so twice and loved it. It is called Reader Moms. As a thank you to the Moms for reading these stories throughout the school year, the girls had a tea party for the Moms at school. One criteria to attend is for the mother/daughter to wear a hat to the party. Jordan was thrilled.
I came home from work the night before the tea party and Jordan was so excited to show me the hats she picked out for us. I had originally envisioned for me to wear a baseball cap or possibly one of Jordan's tiaras :) Jordan, however, had picked out her "Mary Poppins" style hat for herself and picked out her Medieval times cone hat for me to wear. What could I say?! Of course, I wore the hat proudly.

Arriving at school for the tea party, we ran into some of Jordan's friends in the parking lot.

I thought this was a neat project -- watching caterpillars become butterflies to be later released.
