Friday night, we went to our new favorite Chinese buffet restaurant. While we were eating, my sister, Kara, got a crayfish to try. She asked my husband to show her how to eat it. CHH took the crayfish and broke off it's tail.
We suddenly see Katelyn starting to cry real tears and telling her Daddy he hurt the crayfish. She truly was upset and was asking why he broke the crawfish's bottom. Katelyn LOVES any type of animal or insect.
CHH quickly placed the tail back on the crayfish and told Katelyn it was ok. My sisters thought it was hysterical and quickly started playing with the crayfish. Jordan than pipes in and tells Katelyn that the crayfish is dead which makes Katelyn cry again. As we are hushing Jordan, she quickly explains to Katelyn that Daddy didn't kill the crayfish that the Chinese did it and he was already dead! :) Much laughter and tears from my sisters and I now as we are trying to tell Katelyn it is ok while Jordan is trying to explain in her own way that it really is ok.
Aunt Jill then pipes in and tells Katelyn that the crayfish is with God and he is ok. Jordan's reply "No he is not Aunt Jill. He is right there on Aunt Kara's plate"! We couldn't help but laugh then. You may have had to have been there but we were in tears we were laughing so hard.
Anyhow in the end, Katelyn thought the crayfish was ok once CHH put his tail back on and then promptly named the crayfish, Conner. She walked around the table holding that crayfish in her hand, petting him and calling him Conner. It was truly priceless. When we left the restaurant, I had to talk Katelyn into leaving Conner with his other crawfish friends and not take it in the car. I just pictured us losing Conner in the car and the smell! We will always remember our night with Conner, the crayfish, and Katelyn!
After dinner, we went back to our house where Kara went to take a bath in Katelyn's bathroom. Please note below the only types of towels she could find when she got out! Another laughing session occurred :)
Friday morning, Kara and Grandma Cruella got to go to Jordan's school and see Jordan's final Rotunda Rocks for the year. Katelyn went as well and was thrilled to see her buddy there.

Saturday, we took Grandma Cruella for lunch at the Chocolate Angel. 
Katelyn's shirt says "Everyone loves a brown-eyed girl" -- I certainly do!!
Saturday night, we celebrated my friend Tina's birthday at Tina's house. All the families had so much fun swimming in the pool and enjoyed eating outside. Jordan has become a fantastic little swimmer and loved jumping off the diving board.
Sunday, ice skating lessons!
Later at home, Katelyn put this puzzle together all by herself. I saw her doing it and I couldn't believe she was actually able to do so. I was so impressed she did it. She really is so unbelievably smart. My sweet baby girl.
