CHH's Mom (AKA
Grinny) is Japanese.
Grinny has four sisters and one brother who all live in Japan. Two of her sisters and her brother came to Dallas July 16
th to the 18
th to visit us (I
should say Jordan and Katelyn!). The relatives do not speak
English and Jordan and Katelyn do not speak Japanese. You can see by these pictures though that this did not matter. The girls were thrilled to see their great-aunts,
Grinny's sisters.

Jordan with her Great-Uncle and Great-Aunt. They ate with us at
TGI Friday's and then went to watch Jordan at gymnastics afterwards.

Later at home, Katelyn squished our cat, Siam, while Uncle
Iwao petted on him. Uncle
Iwao loved Siam.

Jordan dressed as Tinkerbell and her Great-Aunt.

The relatives with Jordan and Katelyn. The girls had the best time with them. It is amazing how communication was no bearer. The girls talked to them non-stop and would grab their hands and pull them everywhere. I don't know if Jordan really ever noticed that they didn't speak English!

This was hysterical. I went upstairs to get something and came back down to see this. Jordan loves a TV show where Olivia, the pig, is in a parade. She insisted the relatives should be in a parade with her as the leader. We were getting ready for swimming lessons hence the bathing suits. Jordan is marching and using a "
bendaroo" as her baton. The relatives were lined up behind her marching away. These are people in their late 60's, early 70's marching through my house following a 2 year old and 4 year old. It was great!

The oldest Aunt was given golf clubs to bang together for her instrument in the parade, the youngest Aunt was given a ball to bang on (Jordan said it was her drum), and the Uncle was given Cinderella shoes to bang together (Jordan said these were cymbals). The group marched through the house following Jordan and Katelyn banging on their instruments. It was great and amazing!!

Mommy, Katelyn, Jordan and the relatives. I loved having them visit.
CHH with his family!

Jordan "conducting" and the relatives playing their instruments. Too funny. What good sports.
