It was so much fun to watch Jordan watch the parade. She loved it and was so excited as each float would go by. Also almost every day after going to a park, we would go back to the hotel and go swimming. Yes, we even did so on the rainy days because the pool was open and there was no lighting. Both Jordan and Katelyn love to swim. Jordan is getting quite good at it and has no fear. This is good and bad of course. One night, Jordan and I were swimming and she wanted to go down the waterslide by herself. It took everything inside me to let her do so. I stood in the pool watching her go up to the top and then quickly positioned myself at the bottom for when she shot out. She did it and had a blast. She did it several more times on her own. Where the slide ends, there is a life guard right there so that helped me as well. It is very hard as a parent to watch your child do something that you are afraid to let them do. You want them to be independent and build self confidence but my fear of every little thing that could go wrong makes me want to say "no" all the time. As stated, she did great and had a wonderful time.
Katelyn was adorable in the pool. She insists on doing everything herself so you have to pretend to be letting her do so. She loved to float on her back with her floaties and have her feet up slightly above the water. If we reached out to touch her or to adjust her, she would hit at our hands or shove our hands away. She's so funny.
