My Uncle Steve is from Hungary and was a freedom fighter. His brother (who left a twin brother in Hungary) and my uncle escaped Hungary and eventually made their way to the states. The brothers became doctors. Uncle Steve and my Dad were doctors together in the Canal Zone. While there my parents along with Uncle Steve and his wife, Aunt Mary Anne, had many great time together. My Aunt even baptized me in a mixing bowl! It is fun to hear these stories.

My Aunt Mary Anne and Uncle Steve
I am so blessed to have in my life two of the nicest people on this earth -- my Aunt Mary Anne and Uncle Steve. They are honestly just "good people". These two are people that I want to live my life by and follow their example. They are both so kind and giving to others. Hard workers. Full of love and joy for life. I love them.
My Dad with Uncle Steve. These two men have been friends for my whole life. My Dad was drafted into the army and sent to the Panama Canal Zone. My Dad and Uncle Steve met on the boat on the way to the Canal Zone.

Aunt Mary Anne with Jordan. I'm so glad my girls get to experience Aunt Mary Anne's love as well. She is like another Grandma to them.
Jordan loves to cook. Aunt Mary Anne and Jordan helped cooked peas for dinner.
Jordan with her Uncle Steve!
My cousin, Scott, and my Aunt Mary Anne
Aunt Mary Anne having the girls cut fruit for fruit salad. I barely cook watch Katelyn holding a knife!
The girls were so proud about making the salad.

The girls also got to make waffles!

Katelyn burnt herself on the waffle iron and Aunt Mary Anne is taking a look. Aunt Mary Anne is a nurse actually.
She cracks me up. The ice was for her burn but she ate it instead.
Eating what they made. The girls had the best time cooking with Aunt Mary Anne.
So happy...
Aunt Mary Anne is always so cute to the girls and buys them surprises. She is having them close their eyes before getting their gift.
My Uncle is a chef besides being a dermatologist. All week long he made the best meals -- it was five star dining in the condos! One of my favorite things is his Hungarian Polichinta's. I have grown up on these things and it is something we ask for every time we see him. Talk about delicious!!
Uncle Steve making polichintas.
My husband loves Uncle Steve's cooking as well. CHH just stands in the kitchen and eats.

Jordan enjoying her polichinta.
Katelyn with her polichinta.
Lots of sitting around and talking on our trip while Uncle Steve cooked in the kitchen. This was our hang-out spot.
The girls with Uncle Steve outside of my Uncle's favorite chicken wing restaurant in California.
The gang already to eat chicken wings. I got a bratwurst instead since I'm allergic to chicken. CHH loves the wings from here.

Back at the condo, the girls are ready to make something else to eat.
Aunt Mary Anne is going to help them make rice crispy treats. The girls were thrilled. Katelyn is counting out the marshmallows.
Daddy is napping on the couch while the girls cook.

Aunt Mary Anne had chocolate peanut butter. I had never seen it. She put some on celery for the girls and my girls actually ate it. Aunt Mary Anne said it is hard to find this peanut butter and then ended up giving us her jar to take home. Always so kind...
