Katelyn's Last Day at Creme - June 10, 2011
Katelyn has been at the same daycare/school since she was three months old. On Friday, June 10th, it was her last day there. Over four years at Creme for Katelyn!
My sweet girl in front of her classroom. The four year olds are in Creme Prep. This was Thursday, June 9th, and her last day to wear her school uniform. I washed all of them, packed them up, and left them for Katelyn's friend to have who will still be attending Creme.
Katelyn proudly showing me her writing journal.
Katelyn's class made a card for her and used their thumb prints. It is cute.
Katelyn showing Mommy her good-bye card from her classmates.
Friday, June 10th, Katelyn's last day! I took her by the grocery store to pick out some cupcakes to take to her class. She was very excited to do this. On her last day, they had water park at her school so she was excited to wear her bathing suit and cover up to school.
Going into school on her last day.

Ms. Lisa loves Katelyn and Katelyn adored her.
When I came to pick Katelyn up at the end of the day, this made me cry. She said good-bye to her classmates - some she has been with the whole four years - and they all started hugging her. You fall in love with your children's friends and I have really gotten to know these kids over the last several years. I love how much all of them love Katelyn and love each other. It broke my heart seeing them say good-bye to Katelyn. Katelyn was so sweet and so proud to be going.
Group hug - Katelyn is in the middle of this.
My thought was to pick-up Katelyn and leave quietly. Good-byes are hard. This did not happen. Teachers, the director, and the office staff all came out to tell Katelyn good-bye. It was so sweet. I cried again at how much everyone loved her and wanted to make sure and say good-bye. Ms. Angela in the picture above had Katelyn in her class when Katelyn was 2 years old. She always checked on Katelyn and hugged on Katelyn even when Katelyn was not in her room anymore.
