Spring Break 2011 We went cruising! Disney Dream!!

For Spring Break this year, we took the girls on our first Disney Cruise - The Disney Dream. We were so excited. We love Disney and we love cruising so this was perfect. In Port Canaveral, we got our picture with Captain Mickey while waiting to board the ship (March 13, 2011).

Papa, Grinny, and Aunt Michan (from Japan) joined us for our vacation. Two other families from Jordan's school also went with us.

Papa, Aunt Michan (Grinny's sister), Grinny, Jordan, Me, Katelyn and CHH boarding the cruise.

Katelyn on the first night.

Katelyn was thrilled to meet Donald Duck.

Katelyn loved Chip N Dale as well.

The girls thought this was funny - "Eye Scream"!

Eating a treat and getting ready to set sail.

Eating warm chocolate chip cookies and drinking milk in bed. We ordered these every night while on the cruise from room service. The girls loved this!

Jordan, Katelyn and their friends on the ship our second day (first full day) - Monday, March 14, 2011.

The first full day we visited Atlantis in Nassau, Bahamas.

Back on the ship after visiting the Bahamas.

The girls also met several of the princesses on the ship on this day. Sleeping Beauty was a big hit with them.

They loved Tiana too!

Jordan and her classmates with Peter Pan. I love how Jordan is standing imitating Peter Pan.

Jordan loved this fancy Minnie.

Our third day, Tuesday, March 15, 2011, we visited Disney's island, Castaway Cay. This is a family shot in front of the Disney Dream.

Jordan and her classmates playing in the sand. The girls had the best time. The beach was incredible. It was so clean and full of sea shells. I'm willing to bet Disney puts shells on the beach for the kids. My girls loved finding them.

Our family at Castaway Cay. We did not know what to think about Castaway Cay before going there but this day was probably our favorite day on the whole trip. The island is gorgeous and so relaxing. Disney has it down right on how to make things perfect for their guests.

The kids had a blast eating their lunch on the beach. Disney brings their staff off the ship to prepare the lunch. There were many buffet lines opened and it was so quick and easy to get our lunch. Great food too.

While on the beach, Captain Jack came out and said hello to the girls. He was exactly like Johnny Dep in the the movies - perfect and very funny.

Before leaving Castaway Cay, we had to stop and get ice cream.

That night after a day at Castaway Cay was Pirate Night. Most of the kids were dressed in pirate's costumes as were the characters.

While walking around the ship, we ran into Captain Hook. Captain Hook would not get off the elevator for a picture and invited the kids in. As we were taking this picture, the elevator doors closed and our kids disappeared. My husband took off running up the steps to the next floor where Captain Hook had gotten off the elevator with all the kids -- he was keeping them together. Needless to say we got pictures with him now off the elevator and as we were walking off -- Jordan said to him "Captain Hook next time get off the elevator!" It was funny.

After spending all day at sea, we had our last night on the ship. During the day, the kids spent a lot of time in the pool and on the water slides -- especially the Aqua Duck. Jordan loved the Aqua Duck. It was fun but cold!

Our group the last day on the ship! It was so much fun. We are already booked to go again next year with the same families plus about five more are now joining us.
