Great News for our Katelyn!!

KATELYN GOT INTO JORDAN'S SCHOOL!!!

We applied last Fall for Katelyn to attend the same school Jordan currently goes to. It is a very difficult school to get into. We knew this but realized this more so after having Jordan there.

For PreK, there are only 36 spots.

The great thing is our city has so many wonderful schools. With that said, Katelyn is very familiar with her sister's school and thought she automatically would go there next year with her sister.

After applying in the Fall, everyone finds out during Spring Break if their child got into a particular school. We found out a couple of days ahead of time due to Jordan already attending the school. I was actually at Jordan's school for Lunch Bunch (parents work their daughter's lunch shift about once a month) and my phone rang. It was the admissions office. Talk about having a heart attack!

After speaking with Admissions and hearing Katelyn got in, I immediately called CHH and started crying! I was so happy for our Katelyn. I was very stressed wanting her to be with her sister because I knew Katelyn loved the school and of course loves her sister.

After speaking with CHH, I saw Jordie walking up the sidewalk with her class. I was so excited to tell her that Katelyn would be attending school with her next year. Being a 6 year old, I think she thought Katelyn would go to school with her anyhow so really wasn't bouncing off the walls like I was at the moment :)

Anyhow I was thrilled for our Katelyn. We are all about family and education. My husband and I both agree an outstanding education is one of the best things we can give to our girls. We want them to be able to take care of themselves in life and be happy!

Since I was at the school for Lunch Bunch, I immediately went to their bookstore and bought Katelyn a t-shirt and school stuffed animal to give to her as a celebration gift. The above picture is of her wearing her new school t-shirt with her sister after finding out she got in.

Friday night before Spring Break (leaving the next day), we celebrated one of Jordan's classmates birthdays at a Japanese restaurant. The girls had the best time.
