When I counted up how many we have attended, I now realize why I never can get anything done at home that I would like to do! Most of these parties were for Katelyn's friends/classmates since Jordan's classmates are into the group birthdays now.
Why did I spend my weekends taking my girls to these birthday parties?
They enjoy going. They enjoy spending time with their friends playing outside of school. The birthdays are nice activities that the girls do not normally get to do -- bowling, pump-it-up, Kreative Kids, ASI Gymnastic, Alpha and Omega movie, etc. They are not sitting at home watching TV! Katelyn gets to eat cake and ice cream! Jordan doesn't care about that. I like people. I enjoy getting time to talk to the parents since I work full time and am unable to participate in other parent/children activities during the week. I like all the kids. Most importantly I know how much it means to my daughters for friends to attend their birthdays so I want to do the same for other children.
Late August to mid- October is always a brutal time in our household for attending birthday parties. I never realized how many kids we know born in this short time period! Now time to start planning for Katelyn's birthday!!
