Hyatt Lost Pines - October 15th to 17th

We have been totally blessed with a great group of parents of Jordan's classmates. I had always heard the parents of your child's friends become your friends because of all the events you attend together. Well it is definitely true. CHH and I's number one priority is our girls and when you are around others who feel the same and are always doing things with their kids it just becomes so easy. As a result, a big group of us (about 9 families) headed to Hyatt Lost Pines for Fall Break. The Hyatt should love us for introducing so many people to it - ha!

Anyhow, as always, we had the best time. The girls had a blast running around and playing with their friends. We did the usual events like the horse carriage ride, s'mores at the fire pit, movies on the lawn, swimming, etc.

Jordan and a few of her friends in the hot tub at the Hyatt.

Eating breakfast.

Some of the girls waiting for the carriage ride.

Jordan and Katelyn on the carriage ride waving to some of our friends. Also while riding the wagon, we went past Matthew McConaughey and his son walking up to take the same wagon ride. He was in town filming a movie and staying at the Hyatt Lost Pines. We continued to see his family and him throughout the weekend at the resort. I'm mentioning him so when Jordan and Katelyn read this someday they can ask me "Who is Matthew McConaughey?" and I will groan and feel like my Dad when he mentions to me older popular actors who I know nothing about - ha.

CHH enjoying the pool.

Katelyn and her buddy in the hot tub.

Katelyn loved playing in the sand and building a pond :)

So one of our crazy, fun friends had the Hyatt bring out paper plates, cherries and whip cream. She had all the parents compete against each other to put our faces in a plate of whip cream and get the five cherries out. The one who got them out first won. After many groans of "we are not doing this", we all acquiesced because our kids wanted to see us do this. Anything for your kids!

We had a blast yet again. All the kids were screaming and cheering for their parents to win the contest. It was pretty amusing seeing some of these professional people with their faces covered in whip cream. We laughed so hard when it was all over. The kids loved it.
So sweet and so cute. There was a wedding and all the girls were at the window watching it.

CHH with some of the other Dads.
