Heaven on Earth -- Cruisin the Caribbean

We are back from the most wonderful week. What a welcome break and, I did not realize how needed it was. 7 days on a ship with a bunch of happy people. Everyone was happy! Everyone was there for a wonderful reason - vacation. I did not watch the news the whole week; I did not hear anyone complaining; and I really had no worries. I didn't even have to make a decision on where to go to dinner. It was truly fun and relaxing. I only thought about work a few times and that was fluttering thoughts since I was much more interested in what my 2 year old and 4 year old were doing at the moment. Thank you sweetie for such a great trip!!

The picture above is us boarding the ship in Galveston.

First formal dinner night. We met Captain Frank and got our picture taken with him.

Most every day was spent in the heated pool or hot tub. The girls could not get enough swimming in. Please note Katelyn's pink goggles that she had to have like her sister. We did not come home with these. She lifted up the cover in the hot tub and disposed of them down the little hot tub drain pipe!

Second casual night -- more photos. Where else can you get a photographer to take photos for no sitting fee and then you decide whether you want to spend the money or not! It was great and we actually got a lot of great photos of the girls. I love this picture because of their little feet.

The sisters.

We did not get any really good photos on this casual dinner night except this one was funny. Jordan was trying to get Katelyn to smile for the pictures.

Our first stop was in Roatan, Honduras. We got off the ship briefly for a little shopping but were back on within the hour. It was a fabulous day because we had the pool and spa basically to ourselves since most of the passengers were on excursions. Very relaxing.

Second stop -- Costa Maya, Mexico. Same scenario here. Off the ship for about an hour of shopping and then back on to enjoy the pool and hot tub. The girls loved eating hot dogs and eating ice cream (as much as they wanted) out by the pool every day.

Last stop -- Cozumel, Mexico. It was hot and so beautiful. The water was so blue. We loved it. My mother-in-law and I had fun buying skirts in the little market and the girls got the cutest purses.
Our family in front of our ship, Voyager of the Seas, docked in Cozumel.

Family fun in the hot tub. Jordan swam like a fish in the hot tub. She would refuse to use her floaties in it and would swim under water. She also learned to do hand stands under water and to do front somersaults under water. The hot tub really wasn't hot but a nice warm temperature. It was the hot tub for adults and children so perfect. This hot tub was also great after Katelyn ate a chocolate ice cream cone and had it all over her. Each time we would get in the hot tub -- all clean!

The sisters on the second formal night. Our Katelyn ALWAYS takes off her shoes. It does not matter where she is at -- the shoes come off.

My pretty sweet two year old girl!! Side note to the trip: Katelyn Crystal went tee tee on the potty for the first time on this trip. It was on Monday, March 9th, right after swimming and before getting in the bathtub. We have tried this for weeks and nothing. On this Monday, she followed her sister before getting in the bath and all of a sudden started going. You should have seen CHH, Jordan, and me all crammed into the little ship bathroom clapping and screaming "yeah"!! Katelyn's grin was priceless and was ear to ear. She did it 5 more times while on the ship. The really funny cute thing was after the bath, she insisted on wearing big girl panties like her sister. I did win though by at least having her wear them over her diaper :) She was so proud wearing her sister's panties! Ha!

As stated, it was a wonderful trip and, I really did not expect for it to be so fun and relaxing. There were no worries and I was so happy; everyone on the ship was. I said this was probably the closest thing to Heaven on Earth -- to be at a place where everyone is happy and there are no worries, no complaining, no stresses, etc.
