Jordan is in the white t-shirt and shorts on the beam. Ali, Sarah and Jordan tried out a new gymnastics class at a new place. They seemed to have outgrown Little Gym. We tried out the class last night and all were very happy with the new place. The girls had a wonderful time.
Jordan walking across the beam. She loved it and was so hot by the end of the class. They ran all over the place. Afterwards the three moms took the girls to the McDonald's right across the parking lot. Before going, I tried to call CHH to let him know. When Jordan realized that he wasn't answering, she got upset because she thought that meant we were not going. I glanced down at her and she had the face that breaks my heart. It is the look where her eyes well up with tears but she is trying not to cry. She used her little hands at the same time to wipe the tears off her checks all the while remaining silent. Trust me when I say it is the look that wrecks me because she rarely does it and when she does you know she is truly upset.
I did reach CHH finally and told Jordan we were going. She was so excited and so cute. She told her friends that her Daddy was at home at her castle and he said she could go to McDonald's. CHH always calls Jordan's house "her castle".
Later on that night, I was telling CHH about the look and how upset she got. He told me that he never minds right now for her to go do things like that because right now he can say "yes". He said some day when she is older, he realizes we will be saying "no" for various reasons and wants her to remember the times when he said "yes"!
Last night was so stressful for my poor baby, Katelyn. All the lighting and thunder had her scared. I went into her room at least a dozen times to comfort her when I would hear her cry out "Mommy". I was so tempted to put her in our bed with us but I knew that would then be the end of her crib days. She sleeps so well in her crib right now and she is safe. Anyhow the bright side of comforting her a dozen times was that I got to hold her!! My little busy baby is always moving and rarely sits still to be held. It was so wonderful to hold her in my arms and kiss her little head. I love being her Mommy!
Today CHH picked Jordan up from school early and took her to get new ballet and tap shoes. CHH has taken her the last couple of times to get these shoes; it is their thing to do together. We realized this past week both pairs of shoes in her dance bag were size 10 and she is currently in an eleven sometimes twelve right now with all of her other shoes. Ouch! Anyhow he didn't tell me for sure that he was doing so but when I called him on my way home from work, I found out they were at the dance store. I was so proud of him. I even managed to have him pick up a long sleeved leotard for her since he was there!
My sister, Jill, met us for dinner tonight. I told her that I signed Katelyn up for ballet and gymnastics today at her school!! I was telling Jill how excited I was to go get Katelyn her first pairs of ballet and tap shoes. Jill told me that CHH had to do so because he takes Jordan. She's right but I'm still going the first time to get pictures of her getting her first ballet and tap shoes! She is going to be so cute in them.
Great news -- Aunt Kara is coming home! Her contract position ended in Connecticut. Yeah!
