Birthday Parties' Weekend and Super Bowl XLIV

After ballet on Saturday, the girls attended a birthday party. They loved the dance floor with the disco ball and bubbles.

Jordan having fun on the slide.

The birthday party was "Ruby and Max". My friend, Amy, made all the decorations for her daughter's birthday party. They were awesome. Katelyn with Ruby.

Aunt Jill and Jordan with Ruby.

Jordan with Max.

Jordan with Grandma.

Saturday night, we went to a surprise 50th birthday party for a friend of ours. Jordan made him a card and a bracelet. Here she is giving him his birthday card.

The theme of the party was "70's" since the birthday boy grew up in the 70's. CHH and I dressed up as requested!

Jordan with two of her school friends at the birthday party.

Katelyn had fun playing the piano with the same girls.

Sunday - Super Bowl Day! We stayed home all day -- yahoo. Pajamas for us girls all day long. It was great. The girls did their Valentine's for their classes. Katelyn helped by eating one of the suckers for her Valentine's - ha!

Jordan was so diligent as usual signing her cards. She had to do 36 Valentine's for all the pre-k classes. Jordan told me she needed to group them in 12's. I asked her how many groups she needed and she told me "3"! I then asked her how many kids were in her class and she said 12 including her. I asked her why she needed 12 for her class and she said she wanted one for her as well :)

Jordan with her Disney Princess Valentines. For Jordan's school, the only thing allowed is the actual Valentine -- no extras like candy, stickers, pencils, etc.

Katelyn with her Tinkerbelle Valentine's. Katelyn's school allows extras so Katelyn is giving Valentine's with suckers.

We made our usual breakfast Sunday morning. This time Katelyn wanted blue pancakes and Jordan wanted pink. Katelyn made both sets because Jordan refused to help until she finished her Valentine's. I was proud of Jordan for being diligent in wanting to finish her project instead of needing a break so I didn't try to persuade her to help with the pancakes even though I know she loves to make them.

CHH is giving Katelyn a bite of bacon while Katelyn is stirring the blue and pink pancakes at the same time.

Later on in the day, my girls were cuddled together watching something. I loved how Jordan had her arm around Katelyn so yes, I had to take a picture :) Sisters.

CHH got to watch his whole Super Bowl without us interfering! He did not really care who won. Final Score: New Orleans Saints 31, Indianapolis Colts 17.
