Jordan, My Girly Girl

Jordan just cracks me up. She has stayed home all week from school because her grandparents were visiting. They returned to Florida last night so Jordan will go to school today. Fridays at her school, she can wear whatever she wants so I always call it "Pretty Dress Day". Jordan LOVES to wear dresses. Last night, I told her that tomorrow was "Pretty Dress Day". She responded by saying "Mommy, get me up in the morning so you can do my hair before going to work".

This morning, I was getting ready to leave and went in to look at her sleeping. Side note: Both my girls are so adorable when they are sleeping. Anyhow I almost left and remembered what she said last night. I felt so bad waking her up so early just to do her hair. I gently shook her thinking she would not wake up and I could tell her later that I tried. Well, she woke up!

She followed me into the bathroom where she proceeded to tell me how she wanted her hair fixed for the day. She wanted a half braid like her doll, Samantha, got at American Girl last weekend. I did as she asked and then took her back to bed.

She got into bed and propped pillows up so she was in a seated position. I asked her if she wanted to lay back down so she could go back to sleep and she replied "No Mommy. I don't want to mess up my hair." Can you believe that?! She is only 4 and is such a girly girl about her hair! Where does she get it?!

I also have to talk about my Katelyn. On Monday, it was her turn to get to stay home with the grandparents and Jordan was dressed for school. CHH and Jordan were getting ready to leave and Katelyn started crying. She said she wanted to go to school! Jordan was thrilled because she unexpectedly got to stay home. CHH got Katelyn dressed and took her to school. He said she was so happy walking out of the house and wasn't worried a bit about Jordan staying home. Hence Katelyn went to school all week (happy to do so) and Jordan stayed home. I'm going to have to remind Katelyn of this when she is older if she ever tells me she doesn't want to go to school!

It was great though picking Katelyn up all week. That is the best part ever when I walk into the room and she runs screaming to me. I love, love, love to feel those little arms around my neck and I walk out of the school carrying her with the biggest smile on my face.
