Jordan Katelyn Ali Weekend

Ali flew from PA with her mom to visit Jordan and Katelyn for the weekend before Christmas. Of course, the first stop was American Girl. All three girls got their dolls hair done. Katelyn loved having her doll's hair done for the first time.

We then had brunch at American Girl. It was good.

Saturday night, we went on a horse carriage ride to look at Christmas lights. I had arranged for this carriage ride back in September when you could first sign up for it. My girls had wanted to go on one the previous year and the rides were all booked up. It was so exciting to finally go. Aunt Jill and Katelyn cuddled and had a great time together.

The lights were awesome in the neighborhoods. This area has become known for decorating with lights.

Ali and Jordan enjoying the lights and ride. Jordan is in her new snuggi -- the latest hot item this year - a blanket with sleeves.

I love those brown eyes.

Mommy and Katelyn!

Jordan fell asleep at the end of the ride!! She was exhausted from playing with Ali, American Girl, her holiday dance recital, etc. I guess the horse carriage was a nice rocker for her :)

Us on the horse carriage ride...

Sunday, it was back to the Gaylord Texan for the Grinch. The girls had so much fun the previous weekend that we wanted to take Ali to see it.

The girls after the Ice! exhibit holding the Grinch dolls Jolie bought for them. Yes, they are in matching outfits. When we visited Ali in PA, Jolie and I went shopping and bought clothes for the girls. Jolie brought the similar outfits on the visit so the girls could dress alike. It was cute.

Ali's Christmas present to Jordan was matching pajamas for the girls and their American Girl Rebeca Rubin dolls.

Jordan's Holiday Dance Recital

Jordan takes ballet, tap and jazz with two of her good friends from Creme. Her dance school had a holiday performance where the girls did a jazz dance. Jordan did a great job and one can tell how much she loves to dance. She has no problem going out in front of an audience and dancing. She loves it.

Jordan's Christmas Shows

We went to see Jordan at her monthly Rotunda Rocks show at school. I love these performances and hearing the girls sing new songs they have learned. Jordan looked so cute in her Christmas tree hat she made for the show. Jordan's music teacher is awesome. The girls always sing the cutest songs. There was a mix of holiday songs.

I also attended the Lower School's holiday performance. I got to the show about a half an hour early and was in the way back. CHH unfortunately had a final to give and was not able to make it. The girls were adorable. My poor Jordan kept looking for us and couldn't see us. I could see her put her hands above her eyes to block the glare from the lights and look around at the audience searching for us. I was one of "those Moms" that kept raising my hand thinking she may see me in the darkness -- I couldn't help it.

Jordan looking for her parents in the audience. I was so far back and am amazed I even got pictures that I can tell who she is.

Jordan leaving the stage with her class.

So my girl never did see me inside at her performance... However her class was one of the last one's to leave the auditorium. I rushed out of the building and found her class walking down the sidewalk back to their classroom. It was the best. No lie -- when I walked up she was telling her teacher that her parents did not come to see her performance. I put my hand on her shoulder, she looked up at me, and I said "Jordan, I'm here." I swear it was the best. Her expression was priceless and she was so darn cute because I could see how excited she was that I did see her performance. I'm so thankful that one of us was able to attend. It really is important and I was sad for CHH he missed it. It was a great show and I know he would have loved to have been there to see her.

My Ballet Baby

Katelyn takes dance at school and I have never seen her during her classes. Her dance teacher sent out a letter stating parents could come see their kids the last class of the year so I blocked it on my work calendar and went. I was so excited to go and see Katelyn in her class. She is adorable and does really well. I was so proud.

My adorable pretty ballet girl. Is she too cute or what?!!

I loved this!

Look at her... How did I get so lucky?! She is just so darn cute.

After ballet, it was time for tap. I knew Katelyn would love this. She loves doing things that make noise!!

Katelyn and her dance teacher practicing a particular shuffle step.

Tapping away...

I realized during this class how much Katelyn has grown. Her legs look so much longer to me.

I thought she was so cute here. She really is good and did a fabulous job. Mommy was so proud! I love her.
